GDPR & Data Deletion

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This page explains your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), how to request data deletion, and how TargetLog handles your personal data. TargetLog is developed by B.Clean.

How TargetLog Handles Your Data

TargetLog is designed with a privacy-first approach. The key facts about your data:

All shooting session data (scores, shot positions, session history, target images) is stored locally on your device by default. No account is required to use TargetLog. If you choose to sign in and enable cloud sync, your session data is synced to your Supabase account (Supabase Postgres, hosted in the EU) and your target images to Cloudflare R2, and your sign-in identifier (such as your email address) is stored by Supabase Auth so you can access your data across devices.

Without an account, no session data leaves your device. When relevant, the following data may leave your device:

  • Cloud sync (optional) — If you sign in and enable sync, session data is sent to Supabase and target images to Cloudflare R2 so you can back up and restore across devices.
  • Analytics & error data — Anonymized usage data and crash/error reports sent to PostHog (no personal identifiers or photos).

How to Delete Your Data

TargetLog stores your session data locally on your device, so you always have direct control:

  1. Open the TargetLog app on your device
  2. Navigate to any session you wish to delete
  3. Use the delete option to remove individual sessions
  4. To remove all local data, uninstall the application from your device
  5. If you use cloud sync, sign out or delete your account in Settings to remove the synced copy from Supabase and Cloudflare R2

Cloud sync is optional. If you have never signed in or enabled sync, no copy of your data exists outside your device, and uninstalling the app deletes it permanently.

For analytics and error reporting data: If you wish to request deletion of any anonymized data collected by PostHog, contact us at [email protected]

Data Deleted Upon Uninstall

When you uninstall TargetLog, the following data is removed from your device:

  • Session data — All shooting sessions, scores, shot positions, and notes
  • Target images — All locally stored target photos
  • App settings — Language preferences, discipline settings, and other configuration
  • Cache data — Any cached analysis results

Uninstalling removes the local copy only. If you use cloud sync, the synced copy in your Supabase account remains until you sign out or delete your account.

Data Retained

After uninstalling the app, certain data may be retained by third-party services in accordance with their policies and our legal obligations:

  • Error logs (PostHog) — Anonymized error logs retained for up to 30 days for diagnostic purposes
  • Analytics data (PostHog) — Anonymized usage statistics may be retained according to PostHog's data retention policies
  • Legally required data — Certain data may be retained if required by law (e.g., to comply with a legal obligation or court order)

None of the retained data contains personally identifiable information or your shooting session data.

Processing Timelines

Immediate Deleting sessions within the app or uninstalling removes all local data immediately.
Up to 30 days Anonymized error logs in PostHog are automatically purged within 30 days.
Upon request Contact us to request deletion of any remaining analytics data associated with your device.

Important Notice

Data deletion is irreversible. Once session data is deleted from the app or the app is uninstalled, your shooting history and scores cannot be recovered.

  • Cloud sync is optional — if enabled, a backup of your data exists in your account and can be restored on a new device; if not enabled, deleting local data is permanent
  • Consider exporting or noting important scores before deleting
  • Target images stored in the app's document directory are removed with uninstall
  • To remove the cloud backup, sign out or delete your account in Settings

Your GDPR Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — You can request information about what data we process about you. Since data is stored locally, you have direct access on your device.
  • Right to rectification — You can edit your session data directly within the app, including modifying shot positions and scores.
  • Right to erasure — You can delete any session or uninstall the app to erase all data, as described above.
  • Right to data portability — You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to restriction — You can request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Right to object — You can object to certain types of data processing, such as analytics collection.

To exercise any of these rights regarding third-party collected data, please contact us at [email protected].
